The Holy Grail of The East ?
The story goes Buddha tossed his begging bowl into the river doing away with the last of his earthly possessions. But enlightenment did not come. Not having earthly possessions had nothing to do with becoming enlightened. In fact the One should live in abundance from all one’s points of view, not in poverty. So the untold part of the story goes like this. This old wizened man offered Buddha a new bowl, he said it was no ordinary bowl, but a singing bowl, that imparts enlightenment on those that play and leads those that hear it down the path. He said it is two parts the star from the sky. (a meteorite?). Play it as a gift he said to all of your Self for it’s vibration is the essence of The One. Buddha took the bowl and eventually became enlightened while playing it and pondering what the man had said. Sometime before he returned to the air, he gave instruction on what to do with the bowl. He said he would return from the Air to retrieve it and play it once again when the world was ready. He said that when the thoughts and minds of the people merge as one there would be greater than the ascended masters, there would come the descended masters, but again that might just be a story much like life.
